MICRO HYDROPOWER

Micro hydropower systems usually generate up to 100 kilowatts of electricity. Most of the hydropower systems used by homeowners and small business owners, including farmers and ranchers, would qualify as micro hydropower systems. A 10-kilowatt micro hydropower system can provide enough power for a large home, a small resort, or a hobby farm.

This system operates in very slow moving water as slow as 2 mph

WIND GENERATORS

Wind generators use wind to make electricity. The wind turns the blades, which in turn spins a generator to create electricity.

Wind generators can be used in hybrid energy system with other distributed energy resources, such as microgrids powered by diesel generators, batteries, and solar panels. These systems are hybrid wind systems and are typically used in remote, off-grid locations, where a connection to the utility grid is not available.

Solar energy for Telecom

Mobile telecom networks are continually expanding, more often into areas with limited or no access to power infrastructure. At the meantime, operators and tower companies are struggling with unreliable and expensive power for existing networks. Choosing diesel as the main power source for base stations, or as the backup for an unreliable grid, is becoming increasingly hard to justify– both economically and environmentally.

Solar Power System stands as the most reliable solution.

Solar power for telecom and remote systems require little to no ongoing maintenance, thus making them an attractive alternative to generator or potash battery systems. As off-grid solar lighting requires no cabling, trenching, or utility hookup, there are significant cost savings and environmental advantages. There are many good reasons why choosing off-grid solar street lighting:

EASY TO INSTALL

The stand-alone nature of solar lighting make it fit in almost any environment. There is no trenching, conduit installation, and no utility permitting or connection required. The cost savings offsets the initial equipment investment.

NO BILL TO PAY

There is no utility electricity bill to pay when using solar lightning. Solar panels and batteries are the only source of power.

ROBUST COMPONENTS

LED fixtures, durable maintenance-free batteries, and high-performance photovoltaic (PV) solar panels with a 20 year design life and a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) charge controller. The controller is design to regulate operation of the lights as desired by the customer and manages charging of the battery to maintain its health, maximizing the system lifespan. Even in extreme climates, the batteries typically provide 7-10 years of uninterrupted operation.

Street lights are also available with a complete remote monitoring and control system. This allows for system performance tracking and automatic outage reporting.

Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) are properly integrated into a light fixture (luminaire). The illumination achieves over 80 lumens per watt of efficiency (7x more efficient than a light bulb) and a life of over 60,000 hours (> 12 years)

The growing energy demand in developing nations has triggered the issue of energy security. This has made essential to utilize the untapped potential of renewable resources.

Rural electrification using solar power is the most economical solution for rural areas.

A centralized solar power plant supplies the village using a single or three phase mini-grid with electrical power connecting every home. The system can integrate energy meters for billing.

The solar grid can be reinforced with wind turbines and/or micro-hydro turbines as well as diesel generators in case of higher energy demand. Power can be transferred via high voltages lines up to many Megawatts.

Our role is to design and implement an extensive solar power system that meets the growing energy demand.
